As you might have noticed we are currently experiencing some serious performance issues with srv008.web.ichtushosting.com. The root cause has been found after the last few days of investigation, and fix is currently being worked out.
We are fully aware the uptime are currently being impacted massively, and would like to keep you informed on the issue at hand.

There was a server overload due to an attack and abuse from a few websites that caused some timeouts on the server.
this has been dealt with and all the server is back up and running as it should.
We are still investigating how the attack happened and how to deal with this in the future.

Due to hardware failure at our supplier one of the nodes was impacted with too much load and has the server been moved over to a new hardware cluster.
This caused sites to be unavailable at times in between the impacted window.
Other systems like DNS or mail have not been impacted in any way as these are handled by multiple other servers.

We are happy to inform that a final fix for the mail problems with mails towards gmail users have been solved.
Small changes have been made to our systems as well as Gmail their systems to prevent this from happening again.
